The Limbo exhibition at the Slade School of Fine Art was the culmination of work by recent graduates participating in the Slade Summer Art Education Residency, July 2019. Artists included: Araminta Blue, Jione Choi, Lewis Davidson, Farnaz Gholami, Elena-Andreea Teleaga and myself. During my residency, I created this installation of ‘falling leaves’ as a reflection on my time at Slade and on the precipice of change on which I stood, about to leave school; move house and embark on the unknown. I repurposed dyed canvas from a previous painting and cut the leaf shapes. I formed them with rsg and applied paint through various techniques.
